January 4th / 5th 2008

Berkeley and John started the new year with a bang. They completed their Advanced Standard Agility title in AAC today. This gives Berkeley 14 individual titles and her mother Guess 82. Congratulations on a job well done today!!

Tori and Don were attending the same agility trial in AAC. Tori flew around the Masters Standard run completing the course in 41.44 seconds and snagging the first place ribbon in the competitive 22 inch division. This gives Tori 11 Master Std Q's. These guys were not done with their Q's today picking up her 6th Master Gamblers leg with a third place to boot. Very well done and best of luck tomorrow!

Tori kept up her half of the bargain in team today but unfortunately her team mate had a bobble in the weaves. So she and Don continue to search for her last two Team legs in Masters!! They did however, pick up her 7th Master Gamble leg with a 5th place finish accumulating 62 points. Tori had some nice Gamble work this weekend Don, congratulations!

January 26 -27th 2008

Tori and Don were in the Golden Retriever trials at Campaign on Sunday January 27th. This was Tori's first attempt at 4 trials in one day. 2 in open and 2 in utility. Well she did not disappoint. Tori in her first Utility run scored a 196 for 1st place.

She had some bobbles in her open run and NQ'd. However, she bounced back admirably, scoring a 197 for 1st in Utility and a 198 in Open B for 1st and HIT. This double Q gave Tori her 3rd OTCHX leg! Amazing..Amazing...Amazing you two!

Flyer and Gary also trialed at the Golden Retriever Trials. These guys were doing an Open tune up weekend. Flyer Q'd in 3 of the 4 trials with a 195, 196.5 (for 2nd place) and a 197 (for 2nd place winner of the run off). Good job you guys on getting your Open classes warmed up for your double trials.

February 8th 2008

Tori was off playing another sport this weekend. She and Don were in two runs of AAC agility today. They qualified in both runs with some fantastic work. Tori won the 22 inch division in both Master Std and in Master Jumpers. Her Standard run had a course time of 52 seconds and she ran it in 44.52. The second run was Jumpers where the SCT was 33 seconds and they flew through in 28.28 seconds. Don was very very happy with the Little Choo Choo and her accomplishments today!! Hip Hip Hooray,Hip Hip Hooray, Hip Hip Hooray!!!!

February 9th 2008

One down and one to go!! Tori and Don picked up one more Masters Team leg today. They have been chasing this one a little while. When working with a team member it is difficult to have both partners pass on the same run. Well today their teammate passed as well and now they just need one more Masters Team Leg for their ATCHC!!!

February 9th 10th 2008

Some of the home crew were out showing this weekend. Canon and Trinity were entered in the Halifax show for CKC Rally Novice. The two started with a bang. In a class of 25, they placed first and second in their first trial. Canon scored 100/100 and Trinity 99/100. In their second trial they both received 97/100. Canon can blame his mom for making a 3 point handler error. Sorry buddy as this cost you 1st place!! In their third and final run Canon scored 100/100 finishing second by 1 /100th of a second. Trinity although not in the rosettes earned a 98/100. Both of them earned their CKC RN before the snow storm!! This gives Canon 22 titles, Trinity her first title at the other end of her name and Guess 83 on her babies!! Thanks for the fun weekend Guys!! Also Trinity and Colton came second in Jr Handling on Saturday. Trin was a good girl as usual.

February 16th 2008

February 17th 2008

Now for the Don and Tori show!! The team were entered in 2 Open and 2 Utility runs today. The day started with a bobble on directed jumping in Utility under a very distracting ring so no Q :>( However the train started rolling after that. They went in to Open ring and scored a 196 for 4th place. Then off to Open Again and picking up steam. They had a run off for first with a 198 and ended up placing second. Finally their last run of the day. They love to save the best for last. The pair won Utility with a 198.5, HIT, 4th OTCHX leg, High Scoring Golden and The Blanche Cole Memorial trophy!!

Quiz and Lisa had another nice run today in Open B in Ottawa. Quiz scored a 196 and placed 3rd in a competitive class. Tori changes venues and goes to play in agility. She is running in masters with Don. They need a couple legs for their ATCH and Bronze award. Today they ran one of their needed team legs. Tori Q'd but her partner didn't. Too bad. They did Q in 2 Masters Gamblers with 74 and 60 points well under time. They Q'd in Master Standard with a second place. The duo finished the course in 48.66 seconds and the course time was 57 seconds. This is pretty darn good in Masters.
